What is a virtual tour and how does it work?

A virtual tour links 360-degree photos taken at different points of a space. Visitors explore the space from a computer, phone, tablet or VR headset as if they were really there.

  • Look in every direction. Use your mouse, your finger or turn your head in a VR headset to see every corner of the space.
  • Move from point to point. Tap the arrows on the screen to move to the next point and walk through the space.
  • Add information to the tour. Scenes can include sound, text, photos, video, purchase links or information links.
  • Visitors are in control. Everyone focuses on what interests them. Seeing a place with their own eyes builds trust in the business.

Virtual tours are used most in real estate; in hotels, restaurants and cafes; in museums, historic sites and galleries; and in school campuses, factories, hospitals and showrooms.

Four steps from shoot to publication

  1. Site visit

    You send us your request and we review your space. We do this remotely, or on site if we have met in person. Our aim is to give you a clear price.

  2. Shoot

    We take 360° photos at the agreed points. Your business can stay open and your routine is not disrupted.

  3. Processing

    The images are stitched, color and light are balanced, and the scenes are linked. Faces and license plates are blurred.

  4. Publishing

    The tour is uploaded to your business profile on Google Maps. We also give you a tour link to share on your website, on social media or with a QR code.
